Why I cancelled Netflix

Movies, tv

It occurred to me whilst watching something on iTunes the other day, why am I not getting the most out of my Netflix subscription? I was paying for the 4K HDR package but I always fall back to the comfort food of watching a favourite film.

So the next day I made a concerted effort to go through the content and see what I could get into. On searching through the listings it hit me, the original content is just so bleak these days.

My Marvel favourites are all cancelled and whilst I’m waiting for Stranger Things 3 there’s nothing on there that I get any joy from. Unbreakable and Glow are particular highlights for me but one has stopped and the other cancelled so I’m wondering why I paid £9.99 for something I wasn’t watching.

I’ve ended up cancelling my £9.99 with Netflix and put £4.99 of it into DisneyLife instead. It’s not quite Disney+ yet but I have access to all of the Disney back catalog, Pixar, Marvel cartoons and Star Wars. I wanted to finish off season 4 of Star Wars Rebels and get into Resistance so makes sense to me to do this service for a bit.

2019 is going to be very interesting once we get full on Disney+ and Apple offering their own content, time to check on my TV budget.
