Still coming to terms with this being the last of the Skywalker Saga and the last John Williams scored Star Wars movie. I shed some tears, had some laughs and enjoyed the ride – everything a Star Wars movie should be. I’m not writing up my thoughts yet given it’s only just come out butContinue reading “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker first viewing impressions”
I’ve broken a screen or two in my time with Apple Watch from a fall but overall I’m still impressed with how durable the Apple Watch is. My daily Apple Watch is a Nike Series 2 that has been worn every day since June 2017. This being the Nike model means it’s the lower endContinue reading “Apple Watch durability”
I didn’t realise this was possible but on reviewing the latest app updates I discovered you can swipe to delete directly from the update section of the App Store on your iPhone. Being able to do this is a nice little time saver when I realise an app I haven’t used in ages is beingContinue reading “How to delete iPhone apps from the update screen”
Link Silicon Valley has been one of my favourite TV shows of the last 10 years and the final season is now available on iTunes. Can’t wait to start watching this one.
Two things I’m into are space and watches and more recently I’ve gotten into researching watches that have ended up in space or on the moon. The most obvious watch that comes to mind is my dream watch to own, the Omega Speedmaster but at over £3000 it’s a little out of my price rangeContinue reading “Casio G-Shock 5610 – An affordable space watch”

As I’m using the latest public builds of iOS 13 I’m still amazed at the number of UI issues across the system. This actually applies to watchOS too and iPadOS. I’m not trying to pile on as there have been plenty of posts about iOS 13’s lack of stability but simply to share my experiences.Continue reading “iOS 13, a lot of little paper cuts”
I’m a couple of days in with my series 2 on the latest watchOS and it’s settled down after a shaky start. Battery seems to have taken a hit but performance isn’t any better or worse.
I’m going to write up a few posts on blogging rather than just tech stuff as I thought it would be good to be open about my site and the information may be useful to someone else. Over the last year I increased my traffic by 4 times the year before but I still don’tContinue reading “Blogging, a year in review: Where my traffic comes from”
I’d hold off updating to the latest watchOS version on the series 2 for now. Mine was stuck in this boot loop for 45 minutes after the update and after holding down several buttons finally managed to get it out and working. Performance is also less than ideal and it seems like it’s taken aContinue reading “Don’t update to watchOS 6.1.1 on the series 2 Apple Watch”
