I don’t normally link to many podcasts but I found this fascinating. I’m a big fan of photography and it’s the only reason I upgrade each year and I especially like the Pixel camera so listening to someone with a big background in mobile photography is a great way to get a little insight. Went out yesterday to a musical (Book of Mormon, which is amazing by the way!) and took a few night mode shots. Detail here is pretty good, especially the lit up signs. Very misty and rainy but took this from a car park. Quite like it, not amazing amount of detail zoomed in but greatContinue reading “#shotoniphone city night mode”
I wanted to scratch my photography itch and mistakenly installed Flickr. It seems like nobody is using it anymore, very little photos being uploaded and no interaction. To be honest I’ve even forgotten who owns it these days. I’ve deleted it and now trying EyeEm as an alternative. Already seeing more engagement and some beautifulContinue reading “Does anyone still use Flickr?”
Lovely crisp evening last night with a clear sky. Handheld so couldn’t get more than 3 second exposure but I’m tempted to take the tripod up somewhere high and do some testing in the coming weeks.

I’ve settled on using Snapseed from Google. Once you load the app, add the image you want to add a watermark to. Tap toolsContinue reading “How to watermark an image on iPhone or iPad”
Nice day out, still impressed with the iPhone 11 Pro.
With each new product I get in to review I like to break out the DSLR and do my best to take some nice unboxing shots, here’s the AirPods Pro. I’ll do a review soon but for now I wanted to share a little gallery of product shots.
Night mode, with tripod. iPhone 11 Pro.
I promised I’d do more testing and posts with samples so here’s the results of some indoor shots. Lightly edited with the Apple Photos app. All taken with the standard wide angle (1x lens) via the Apple camera app. Trying to get in as close as possible. Gotta get some Prime in there! My currentContinue reading “iPhone 11 Pro close up indoor photography”
Thought I’d start to post images as I start to use the iPhone 11 Pro, I’ll try to remember to keep this original post updated. All of these have been taken with the Apple camera app and editing tools. Wide angle and noir filter. Wide Angle, looks like WordPress app cutting off the image though.Continue reading “iPhone 11 Pro picture samples”
